The Great Invasion: The Gettysburg Campaign June 24 – July 3, 1863

Grand tactical game of Lee’s second invasion of the North during the Gettysburg campaign in June and July 1863, using area movement. Two players command Confederate divisions, Union corps, and cavalry brigades across a 46-area map from Harper’s Ferry to Harrisburg. Alternating turns cover strategic movement and tactical combat, with terrain such as mountains, passes, rivers, and defensible areas affecting movement and combat. Units lose combat strength as they take casualties and may become ineffective. The game lasts ten turns, with victory determined by the Confederate player’s chosen victory option and victory points earned during play.
