Antidote

2013 · Card Game

Antidote

Players are laboratory researchers racing to identify the single card type removed from the deck that represents the true antidote to a toxin. On each turn players simultaneously choose actions that affect everyone: discard from hands or trade research cards with others, revealing information through visible discards and exchanges. Players gradually eliminate possibilities and try to deduce which formula will cure them before they are forced to take their last card and “drink.” The game combines deduction, timed risk-taking, and social information play where cooperative information exchange and deceptive signaling both influence who survives.

Great deduction card game, takes a play or two to get used to the idea but once you've got the hang of it plays as a great filler party game. Player interaction is key in this one. Have not tested yet with the Kickstarter mini-expansion.
