Roll Player
Players construct a fantasy adventurer by drafting dice to allocate attribute scores and buying skills, traits, and equipment. Race, class and alignment influence scoring and available options, while dice values and rerolls determine how attributes develop. Turn-by-turn, players draft or roll dice, purchase weapons and armor, train skills and reveal traits to optimize their character sheet. Victory is determined by Reputation points awarded for attributes, matching class and alignment, and acquired gear and abilities.

Evan4.6 This is a clever dice drafting game, where your goal is to construct an effective roll playing game style character. Since each player gets a different character class, each player has different dice color goals. There's also some competition for the various item cards that come out, as taking a die from the draft of higher value sinks your buy order to the back of the line. The theme comes across in cute ways, and it's an overall good design, although I find myself having a hard time getting really excited about anything that's happening in it. I like all the little thematic touches, but it feels almost a little too long for the experience it delivers. When you add a die to a row, you also get a neat little ability that let's you mitigate some of the various luck elements in the game. Overall this is great, but the bottom ability where you get a special pseudo dollar that goes away at the end of the round seems a bit uninspired. overall the components are fine, although the art leaves a little to be desired. It's very dark, heavy colors across the board, and many of the character portraits don't look very nice. It'd also be nice if the dice were a little nicer. They're pretty plain here, especially compared to it's cousin Sagrada. Push comes to shove I'll take this over Sagrada mechanically, but I feel like the two games should get together for a cup of coffee or something and see what the other has to say. :star: Art, Iconography and components functional :star: Clever or interesting mechanisms :star: Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players :nostar: Multiple plays stay interesting :star: Low or mitigatable luck elements :star::star::nostar::nostar::nostar: Raw enjoyment
Jan Solo7.5 Adoro esta temática. Muy buen juego de gestión de dados. Para mi innecesaria su expansión.
Rules questions
Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.
Do I place dice on my character sheet during the Roll Phase, or later?
During the Roll Phase the Start Player draws/rolls and places dice on the Initiative cards; during the Dice Phase players pick an Initiative card on their turn and then place that die on their Character Sheet, collect any Gold, and may take an Attribute Action (p8).
Can I put a die anywhere in an Attribute Row or does it have to go in a specific spot?
Dice must be placed in the leftmost empty space of any Attribute Row when you place them on your Character Sheet (this applies in setup and during play) (p7, p8).
Can I use an Attribute Action on the die I just placed, and how many Attribute Actions can I take?
Yes — you may use an Attribute Action to affect the die you just placed or any previously placed die, but each player may take only one Attribute Action during the Dice Phase and those changes do not trigger further Attribute Actions (p9).
If I buy a Skill card, can I use it immediately, and how many Skill cards can I refresh each round?
A Skill card bought from the Market may be used immediately; Skill cards must be upright to use and when used are exhausted, and during Cleanup each player may refresh (turn upright) only one exhausted Skill card per round (p10–11).
If a Class goal shows a single number, does exceeding that number still score Reputation Stars?
No — a single-number Attribute Goal must be met exactly to score; goals shown as ranges must fall within the range, and goals with a plus sign (e.g., 14+) require the Attribute Score to be equal to or higher than that number (p11).
When do I gain Gold from Initiative cards or gold dice — what gives Gold and when do I collect it?
You gain the Gold printed on an Initiative card when you select that card, gain 2 Gold for placing a gold die on your Character Sheet, and gain 1 Gold for placing the third die in an Attribute Row; these gains occur when you take your Dice Phase turn (p8, p11).
