1000 · Abstract Strategy
Bagh Chal
An asymmetric abstract strategy game from Nepal that pits a small number of predator pieces against a larger herd of prey. One side controls four tigers that start on the board and can move along lines between intersections or capture goats by jumping over a single adjacent goat to an empty point. The other side places twenty goats onto empty intersections one per turn while attempting to block tiger movement; once all goats are placed, goats move one space along the lines but cannot capture. Tigers win by capturing five goats; goats win by immobilizing all tigers so they have no legal moves or jumps.
