Five Tribes: The Djinns of Naqala
Players manipulate five colored tribes of wooden meeples across a modular map of villages, markets, oases and sanctuaries to gain influence in a fallen sultanate. On a turn, a player picks up all meeples from one tile and drops them one-by-one along a path, then resolves the effects of the last meeple’s tribe (assassins, elders, builders, merchants, or viziers). Players collect tiles, score control of regions, bid for turn order with palms, and summon powerful djinns that grant special abilities. Victory comes from optimizing movement, timing tribe activations, and combining resources and bonuses to outscore opponents.

Vic Granell8.0 TTS version. Played with my friend Matthi's physical copy, amazingly innovative game! It gets you thinking a lot. Loved it!
Garfield2.0 If you like huge downtimes, this is for you. You can't really plan beforehand. And when it's your turn, you have to think about the best move you can do, this can take 1-5min per player. So have fun if you have to wait 10-15min for every turn... I don't feel the theme. Too many possibilities that let people think too long.
Rules questions
Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.
What is the “last meeple same color” rule — how must my last meeple match?
The last meeple you drop must be placed on a tile that already contains at least one meeple of that same color; if it doesn't, the move is illegal and must be redone (p.4).
Can I end my move on an empty tile (one with no meeples)?
No — you may pass through empty tiles while dropping meeples, but you can never end your move on an empty tile because your last meeple must match an existing meeple on the final tile (p.4).
If I empty a tile that another player already controls, do I take control of it?
No — if you empty a tile that is already under a player's control, ownership does not change; once a camel sits on a tile it never changes ownership (p.5).
If my Assassins remove the last meeple from another tile, do I gain that tile and its action?
You immediately gain control of any tile you completely empty with your Assassins (place a camel), but you do not get that tile's action — you only perform the action of the tile you ended your move on; also you must take control of the tile you ended on first and you can't take the assassinated tile if you have no camels left (p.6).
For Blue Builders, do I count the tile I ended on and how do Fakirs affect the payout?
Yes — count all blue-valued tiles surrounding and including the tile you ended your turn on, multiply that count by the number of blue meeples you return to the bag, and you may discard Fakir cards to increase that multiplier by 1 per Fakir discarded (p.6).
When I take Resource or Djinn cards, are they replaced immediately?
No — when you take Resource or Djinn cards you do not replace them immediately; the row is replenished during Clean-Up after all players have taken their turns (shift and draw to make 9 Resources and 3 Djinns) (p.5, p.7).
