Brazil: Imperial
Players take the role of monarchs building an empire across modular map regions that recreate real territories. The game mixes worker placement, area majority and asymmetric player powers as players construct buildings, manage resources, recruit armies, and acquire famous personalities to gain special abilities and points. Each round offers action and movement phases: choose actions like deploying troops, buying personality cards, building or renovating structures, manufacturing and trading basic goods, or using the harbor. Movement allows exploration of hidden sites and combat with rivals, resolved by comparing troop strength and card effects. Completing era-specific objectives advances players into later eras and triggers the endgame scoring.
