Garfield2.0 Not sure if I should keep this. If you want to play it strategically you have to have the right cards, and for that you need either luck or several turns to exchange your cards. Otherwise your game is driven by the cards you have. And your turns are very repetitive. Evan1.6 This is a cute idea for a game, that ultimately just isn't that interesting to play. You get these animal cards that all have different powers. You enhance the animals by splaying other cards over or under them in different ways. Your stacking limit of cards is determined by how many different animals you have on the board. Cards can also be played to move your animals that have a matching symbol. This is a lengthy process when players have six different animals of different sizes and complexity. There is some AP in terms of trying to maximize your efficiency before your turn, as the game rewards getting to the end areas, but since during movement you skip over places where other people are, the board state can be unpredictable. Maybe the problem was just that we played it with 4 players, which pushed the downtime between turns too high. Again, the game is fine, it just didn't present me with any hard choices. I just did the best I could with what I drew and what the board state looked like. ☆ Art, Iconography and components functional ★ Clever or interesting mechanisms ☆ Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players ★ Multiple plays stay interesting ★ Low or mitigatable luck elements ☆☆☆☆☆ Raw enjoyment
