Wondrous Creatures
Players build and manage a creature reserve filled with over a hundred different creature cards and eggs, each with its own ability. Worker placement on a hex-grid board determines which resources, cards, or special effects activate, creating a spatial puzzle as workers interact with surrounding icons. Workers themselves gain and unlock unique powers over the course of the game, and newly revealed map effects offer opportunities for combos and synergies. Players draft and tableau-build creature cards to fit their strategy and race to complete achievements that score points. The winner is the player with the most victory points at game end.

Strategically place your team on the map to collect resources and eggs used to play fantasy creature cards in this combo-tastic tableau builder. We are new to this @badcometgames but fell in love at first play. We can't wait for the upcoming expansion.
Rules questions
Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.
Where can I place a Crew member? Can a placement span two hexes and are there restrictions?
You place a Crew on an eligible habitat hex following the placement rules; some placements may span two hexes (paying mountain costs where required), and you cannot place on lakes or on occupied hexes (pages 9–10).
How many Creature cards can I play on my turn and when do I pay their costs?
You may play up to two Creature cards on your turn and you pay their costs when you play them, then place them into your Reserve, add any Energies they provide, and resolve their immediate abilities as applicable (page 12).
How does the Reserve work — which cards stack and which are spread out?
Instant cards are placed stacked in your Reserve while other card types are placed spread out in the Reserve layout; Eggs are tracked separately with their own hatching/flip and storage rules (page 14).
How does the Butterfly Net action work — can I take Eggs and trigger adjacent habitat effects?
Using a Butterfly Net lets you obtain adjacent Eggs or activate adjacent Special Effect icons as described, subject to the Net’s limits and timing (see the Net and Discovery rules on pages 11 and 19).
What happens during Recharge — do I have to discard and do my Reserve cards activate?
During Recharge you retrieve all Crew, advance the Time Track and resolve its icons, trim your hand down to a maximum of five cards, and then activate the effects on your Reserve cards as specified (page 17).
