Kauri

2023 · Card Game

Kauri

Four asymmetric factions vie for control of a New Zealand island, each with distinct abilities, objectives and decks of cards. Players manage wooden units on a map, deploy cards and use faction-specific powers to pursue divergent scoring strategies over five rounds. The Kiwis focus on survival, the Possums on territorial expansion, the Englishman on deforestation and hunting, and the Māori on building sacred temples. Players contest area control, manipulate resources and block opponents while pursuing their faction’s path to points.
