2023 · Territory Building
Moon River
Players build a personal landscape of tiles using a system derived from Kingdomino but without traditional dominoes. Half-tiles feature a jigsaw-style edge and are paired to form domino-like pieces, adding variability to tile draws and placement. The tableau starts at a river edge rather than a central castle, and players expand outward to create contiguous terrain areas. Scoring uses cow meeples as multipliers instead of crowns, and cowboy actions allow movement of cows to influence scoring and area control.
