2025 · Card Game
Pondscape
Players build a vibrant pond by placing cards into a personal grid that represents habitats, combining frog species, plants and water features to meet species-specific scoring conditions. Each round, players draft from a shared display and add one card to their pond, managing hand and tableau to assemble groups of matching frogs and fulfill placement requirements for points. A central “jumper frog” piece moves across the shared display hunting insects; all players influence its movement and compete to collect insect tokens that grant endgame bonuses. The game focuses on spatial puzzle planning, card management and timing over about 30 minutes for 2–4 players.
