Gaudí
Players inhabit the workshop of a turn-of-the-century architect and collect cards and mosaic tiles to develop three thematic pillars: Nature, Catalonia and Religion. Play proceeds over three rounds as players move around a central chandelier on the main board, choosing stops to draw cards and gather different types of trencadís tiles. Cards and tiles are spent on personal boards to advance up chimneys and build patterns of broken tiles that score throughout the game. Scoring requires balance: only the two lowest pillar scores count at game end, so players manage card play, tile placement and round-end/ game-end scoring conditions to maximize a balanced total.
