Tournay

2011 · Card Game

Tournay

Players rebuild a medieval district by recruiting citizens and constructing buildings across three domains: military, religious, and civil. Each turn players deploy colored, levelled cards into a personal 3×3 display, pay costs with coins and meeples, and take one of several actions such as drawing cards, activating buildings, confronting events, or refreshing workers. Buildings provide ongoing effects, citizen placement enables card powers, and prestige structures score victory points that benefit all players. Event cards introduce hazards that can be combated for rewards or later used to mitigate triggers. The game ends when districts fill, then players total points from their display and defeated events.

Not bad. Not exciting at 2 players; probably better with 3 or 4. Didn't wow the wife, but we'd both play it again.
