2p is -as expected- quite boring 3p - surprisingly pleasant, one of the few 18xx that works very well at this player count. Compared to 4p it is a bit soft but still very enjoyable, bankrupt is still quite probable, contrary to 3p 1830 which is very rare. 4p - perfect number to play with. It was the first time we played with 2nd game players and it was pretty well balanced. Really feels like a condensed 1830 with traps. So far it seems to me the only 1830 clone to provide a very fun game in a sub-3.5h playtime and/or sub-4p. Games can last 4h at the very very extreme, more often it is in 2.5-3.5h range. The twists keep the 1830 paradigm fresh, and the map is very fun to play with. Privates and rules original enough and entertaining. After 5 plays, while not having the scope of a more complex 18xx, it retains a freshness and excellent variability of play.
