Middle-earth

Players take the roles of the Istari (wizards) and marshal allies, items, factions, and quests to oppose the Shadow in Middle-earth. Deckbuilding divides resources that support the Free Peoples from hazard cards aimed at stopping an opponent; players recruit allies like Riders or Great Eagles, equip items, and pursue quests ranging from prisoner rescues to reforging legendary weapons or destroying the One Ring. The opposing hazards bring powerful threats such as Nazgûl, dragons, Shelob, and Balrogs to challenge an adversary’s plans, turning each contest into a tug-of-war between advancing quests and foiling the opponent’s progress.
