Adds two playable factions and additional components that expand the base game to support up to six players. One faction is a mercantile river trading company that hires warriors, builds posts along waterways, and offers services in exchange for goods and funds. The other is a zealous cult that spreads its influence by converting clearings and recruiting followers to score points through devotion. The box also includes an extra vagabond, three new vagabond variants, a card holder for the river faction, cooperative scenarios, and rules for bot play to enable automated opponents.

When can I buy Riverfolk services, and how many can I buy?
At the start of your Birdsong, you may buy one service, plus one more for each clearing where you have a piece and the Riverfolk have a trade post. Pay by moving warriors from your supply to the Riverfolk’s Payments box (p. 4).
Do Riverboats and Mercenaries last beyond my turn?
Riverboats lets you treat rivers as paths until the end of your turn. Mercenaries lets you treat Riverfolk warriors as your own for rule and battle during Daylight and Evening of that turn (p. 4).
Do bird cards count as any suit for the Lizard Cult’s rituals?
No. Bird cards are not wild when performing rituals, so they cannot substitute for the suit of a clearing or for another suit requirement (p. 3).
Does one Lizard Cult garden let me rule a clearing?
Yes. The Cult rules any clearing where it has a garden, even if it has only one; this ability even overrides the Eyrie’s Lords of the Forest (p. 2).
When do Riverfolk funds score points, and what happens if a trade post is removed?
In Birdsong, if you have trade posts on the map, score 1 point per 2 warriors in your Funds box; then move all warriors on your faction board into Funds. If a trade post is removed, remove half your funds, and that trade post cannot be rebuilt (p. 5).
