The Speed of Heat: Air Combat Over Korea and Vietnam

Simulation of jet air-to-air and air-to-ground combat during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. Play proceeds at a tactical scale: each turn equals 12 seconds, each hex covers one-third of a mile, altitude is in 1,000-foot levels, and each counter represents a single jet. Aircraft move and fight according to individual aerodynamic and performance profiles; types come with two-sided data cards showing flight characteristics and weapon loadouts. The game uses second-generation rules evolved from earlier tactical air systems and includes scenarios, geomorphic map sections, counters, player aids and aircraft data for period-accurate engagements.
