Battle for Moscow

A classic free print-and-play introduction to hex-and-counter wargames, set during the German advance on Moscow in late 1941. Players command German and Soviet forces across a short operational campaign, using movement, combat, terrain, zones of control, strategic retreats, and changing weather. The German side seeks to capture and hold Moscow, while the Soviet side attempts to delay the advance. The basic game lasts seven turns per side, with an expansion extending the campaign.
