Buttons

Players take turns rolling dice and place matching buttons onto a personal board, while every player may also use the roll to add a button to their own layout. The game uses a press-your-luck tension: the more spaces filled, the greater the risk of losing buttons when a roll forces an unfavorable outcome. Play proceeds in rounds; at the end of each round players score by converting every three placed buttons into a star token on their player board. The game ends when a player reaches a victory condition of accumulated stars, either a set total or a consecutive line, and the pattern of placement and timing determines success.
