Gin Rummy

Two-player draw-and-discard card game where players build melds of sets or runs from a standard deck. Each turn a player draws either the top discard or the face-down deck and then discards one card, keeping up to ten cards to form melds while minimizing unmelded “deadwood.” A deal ends when a player knocks with a low deadwood total or goes out by eliminating all deadwood; the opponent may then lay off cards on melds before deadwood values are compared and scored. Play continues over multiple deals until a target score is reached, with bonuses for going out clean or being undercut.
