Allies are useful... until they aren't. Place numbered cards to contest islands, forming alliances only after conflicts begin. Each island rewards its strongest alliance, with the largest share going to its leading pirate. Special action cards enable dirty tricks, while shifting alliances make every treasure contested. The pirate with the most treasure wins.
