Law Enforcement Outpost

Permanent law-enforcement facilities are scattered throughout the far reaches of inhabited space. They serve as local bases for patrols, temporary holding sites for apprehended suspects, and resupply stations for patrol craft. From these outposts, officers monitor traffic, respond to distress signals, and work to suppress piracy and other criminal activity, while private security and local contractors protect colonies and settlements.
