Murus Gallicus

Romans and Gauls face off in a two-player breakthrough game using remarkably similar tactics. Players build walls and towers from stacks of stones, then sow towers across an 8x7 board to advance toward the opponent’s home row. Walls block movement and can be used as stepping stones, while tower stones may be sacrificed to remove adjacent enemy walls. Players win by reaching the opposing home row or stalemating their opponent, balancing defense, board control, and the timing of attacks.
