Snake Lake

Snakes move through a wooded grid, seeking apples that fall from the trees while avoiding poisonous mushrooms, trees, the board edge, and other snakes. Players secretly program three moves using cards showing forward, left, right, or stop, then reveal and execute the first move as the remaining cards shift forward. Event cards add hazards and effects, including placing or removing food, putting a snake to sleep, and changing its length. Collisions can send snakes back to a new starting point, while hitting another snake’s head or leaving the board can score points. Apples provide the most points, while mushrooms deduct points when eaten.
