The Battle for North Africa: War in the Desert, 1940-42

This historical wargame covers the North African campaign from 1940 to 1942, with forces ranging from Italian formations and German panzer divisions to British armored units. Players direct combat formations and support assets across the desert, managing logistics, reserves, command, and combined-arms attacks. An Activation Marker system creates uncertainty around the sequence of operations, while random events include sandstorms, desert raids, intelligence operations, amphibious actions, and Italian paradrops. Four scenarios range from shorter engagements to a full campaign, with variable arrivals and withdrawals that allow history to develop differently. Solitaire play is supported, and turns represent one month of operations.
