The Clay That Woke

A roleplaying game about nameless minotaurs living and working in a human civilization divided by a surreal, trackless jungle. Players take on menial, dangerous, and sometimes brutal employment while trying to uphold a stoic philosophy of silence, courage, wisdom, and justice—and eventually earn a name. A gamemaster creates the characters’ circumstances and portrays the people and creatures of the Dégringolade and jungle. An oracle system called the Krater of Lots uses custom tokens drawn from a bowl to determine outcomes in uncertain situations.
