The Illuminated Edda

This illustrated compendium presents Norse mythology through contemporary translations of the Poetic and Prose Eddas, arranged in chronological order. It covers gods, giants, heroes, dragons, Yggdrasil, and Loki, alongside selected Celtic, Welsh, Finnish, Baltic, and Inuit myths, additional sagas, and stories that fill gaps in the surviving traditions. The volume includes more than 600 pages of artwork, a glossary of characters, magical items, and places, and a simple storytelling game using Futhark runes.
