The War: The Pacific 1941-45

This strategic simulation covers the military, naval, economic, diplomatic, and political aspects of World War II in Asia and the Pacific from 1941 to 1945. Players command fleets, task forces, air wings, divisions, corps, and armies while managing carrier warfare, island campaigns, and diplomacy with Nationalist China. Scenarios include Changsha, Guadalcanal, Midway, Leyte, Okinawa, and the full Pacific War campaign. Optional rules add events such as the Doolittle raid and Japanese fleet suicide missions. The game can also be combined with its European counterpart for a global World War II campaign. Playing time ranges from about 1.5 hours for smaller scenarios to 50 hours for the full campaign.
