Players lead tribes of sentient animals in a prehistoric, humanless world, sending members to perform hunting, gathering and construction tasks across a shared board. Each round (season) is split into phases: place workers to claim action spaces, harvest available resources, process those resources into food, feed tribe members to earn Happiness Points, adjust resource availability, and build monuments during cleanup. Players manage a personal tribe board for stored resources and food, acquire invention cards that improve processing, and collect symbol sets for endgame scoring. The game uses worker-placement as its core mechanic and resolves scoring after six seasons.
