VHS: Very Horror Stories

A horror roleplaying game inspired by classic genre films from the 1970s through the 1990s. Players portray survivors exploring haunted houses, isolated villages, asylum basements, alien-infested spaceships and other dangerous locations while facing monsters such as assassins, demons, ghosts and extraterrestrial creatures. The game combines shared narrative roleplaying with maps, tokens and exploration. Character sheets track abilities, equipment, wounds and sanity, while fear and shock affect what characters can do. A game master manages the setting, non-player characters and monsters, whose behavior and threat level vary by type. Sessions can form standalone films or continuing stories, and selected scenarios support solo play.
