War Along the Great Lakes

A block wargame depicting the fighting between the United States and Great Britain along the Great Lakes during the War of 1812. Players use point-to-point movement to maneuver units, spending a combination of regular and randomly determined action points to conduct movement and combat. Combat is resolved with dice rolls that score hits against opposing units, while careful planning helps prevent forces from becoming trapped. Victory comes from occupying key terrain features and eliminating enemy units. Variable action points create different situations from game to game and also support solitaire play by having one player control both sides.
