In a modular deck-building game set in Norse mythology, 2 to 4 Viking jarls lead their villagers through the nine worlds of Yggdrasil toward Asgard. Players choose eight adventures from a selection of 35, traveling through worlds such as Midgard and Jötunheim, recruiting Vikings, seeking the aid of gods, gathering gold and earning glory. Viking cards determine movement along each adventure’s path, where players face opponents and dangerous obstacles. Gold recruits Vikings with stronger abilities, while fallen heroes can be sent to Valhalla and form a second deck for the final adventure at Bifröst. The selected worlds determine the available Vikings, rules, difficulty and playing time.
