Master Merchant

Players compete as merchants, building wealth and earning the trust needed to establish a fortune. The game uses hand-building rather than a deck: each player manages only a hand of cards and an open discard pile. On a turn, a player may play up to two cards from hand, either face up to resolve their effects or face down to gain one gold. Cards can also be purchased from the town for one to four gold. When a player begins a turn with an empty hand, the entire discard pile returns to hand. The first player to collect eight gold or eight different cards wins.
