Tarot

Players use a 78-card tarot deck that combines suited cards, 21 numbered trumps, and the Fool. One player becomes the taker and plays solo against the other players, who form the defense as a team. After dealing, players bid on a contract to set the taker’s target score; the taker then tries to win tricks and collect point cards to meet that contract while the defenders work to prevent it. Play centers on trick-taking, managing trumps and the Fool, and fulfilling the bid’s scoring requirement.
