The Guns of August

Recreate the Great War in a strategic campaign game spanning 1914–1918. Players command the Central Powers or the Allied forces across the Western, Eastern, Italian, and Balkan fronts, maneuvering infantry and cavalry corps with supporting artillery and engineers. The campaign is played in monthly turns and includes rules for weather, new combatant nations, and combat resolution. Separate scenarios cover individual fronts and years of the war, with additional two-front scenarios offering different game lengths and levels of complexity.
