18Tokaido is a board game for 2–4 players. It plays in 60–120 minutes and is meant for ages 14 and up. Ludoya players call it best with 3.

A light, fast 18xx-style title set in Japan, covering rail development from Osaka and Kyoto toward Tokyo. Seven railroad corporations are present, with one removed in two- or three-player games; a specific Tokyo line is always included. Private companies are available for purchase beginning in the first stock round, and buying a private counts as a buy action rather than being auctioned. Trains export after each set of operating rounds up to and including the first D train. There is no bank; the game ends on bankruptcy or three operating rounds after the first D train is introduced, with special timing for whether the D train is exported or purchased by a corporation.
