Actions affect the visible condition of frescoes and generate points from expert appraisal and institutional approval. The game balances meticulous planning and tactical risk: following official protocols yields steady rewards, while controversial interventions can earn higher expert valuation but risk Vatican disfavor. Play resolves after a set number of rounds and scores compare conservational success, artistic fidelity, and reputational standing.
