Play proceeds as a campaign across interconnected scenarios that move from the village to university halls and seedy urban locales, with players resolving scenario objectives, managing resources, and advancing a persistent campaign log that records choices and consequences. The set provides new investigators and a large suite of player cards for deckbuilding, and introduces encounter and campaign cards that add thematic adversaries, treacherous events, and evolving threats to face over multiple sessions.
