Assault Against the Menace on the Mountain
A Roman-themed pulp-horror adventure for characters of levels 1–3, compatible with 0e, 1e, BX, and similar retroclones. During the Terrible Season of autumn, the mountain people prepare their frightening ceremonies while the town of Pompelo awaits the wrath of the very old folk. After a market brawl leaves several hill traders dead, the villagers expect disappearances—but none have occurred, and the unnatural silence suggests a greater threat. A cohort gathers to enter the mountains, investigate the menace, and confront the forces behind it.
