Bloom Town
Players act as architects revitalizing a neighborhood by placing a mix of offices, subways, parks, homes, and shops on personal town boards. Each turn, players place tiles, score points immediately for newly placed tiles and for triggering rescores through placement patterns, then refill available tiles from a central Town Square based on the symbol just built. Play continues until a set number of building piles are depleted, at which point final scoring determines the winner.

Evan5,9 A short city building game. You start with a board full of icons and a hand of 2 tiles. On your turn you place a tile, score it according to it's criteria, then draw a new tile from the display where the display slot is the same as the icon on the square you placed your tile into. If you cover a space with green grass, you can choose to either score that tile a second time, or take an additional turn. As the game progresses, special scoring tiles become revealed. When the second of a type comes out, each player re-scores the matching type of building. If only one of a type has been revealed so far, you have the option of throwing away your ability to preform green grass bonus actions to force an additional scoring for the type of your choice. In addition to this, at the end of the game, you initiate another bonus scoring for one of the two types of tiles left in your hand. I'm uncertain how to feel about this game. The ebb and flow of things is a little difficult to predict. You might spec into blue tiles, and want to wait until you have enough in play to initiate your once per game extra scoring, but then between turns the second blue bonus tile flips, and you miss your opportunity. The pacing is fast and this luck element can be a little high, but I suppose that's the reason to have a diverse set of features. It's interesting and I'd like to see more, however I don't know if it's going to compete in a crowded genre of quick city tile games. :star: Art, Iconography and components functional :star: Clever or interesting mechanisms :star: Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players :star: Multiple plays stay interesting :nostar: Low or mitigatable luck elements :star::star::star::nostar::nostar: Raw enjoyment
