Building Better Benefits

This supplement presents an alternative method for assigning mustering-out benefits in Cepheus Engine and the Original Science Fiction Roleplaying Game. Instead of using identical tables for every career, the Referee builds a customized benefits table as character generation progresses, taking each character’s background into account. A step-by-step worked example explains how to create career-specific benefits without adding significant time to the process. The method can also be adapted for other roleplaying systems.
