Radiation from ultraviolet light and extracted ore has caused genetic mutations among the miners, who are rising against the governor’s crackdown. Most settlements lie within a deep asteroid crater containing water, farmland, and breathable air, while miners endure harsher conditions in the surrounding highlands.
