Players are cast onto Athas, a dying world beneath a harsh red sun. Ancient civilizations endure within isolated city-states ruled by powerful Sorcerer-Monarchs, while the surrounding regions hold undead wastelands, razor-sharp bamboo forests controlled by the Kreen, and the vast Sea of Silt.
