Defenders of the Realm: The Dragon Expansion

This expansion adds three Dragon Generals—Onyx, Hemlock, and Brimstone—who can join Sapphire or be mixed with existing Generals. Each introduces distinctive threats: Zealots deal damage after combat, Imps spread and steal cards, and Fire Elementals ignite areas that hinder movement and wound Heroes. The new Generals also alter how Darkness Spreads and combat resolve. Additional cards and tokens provide new Quests, Agents of the Dark Lord, Global Effects, Royal Blessings, Heroes, and Special Cards for adjusting campaign difficulty. A King's Champion scoring variant tracks Hero achievements, awarding titles and abilities to the most famous Heroes in future games.
