Eleusis

Players simulate the scientific method using two decks of cards. One player secretly invents a rule that governs which card plays are considered correct; that player scores for how long the rule resists discovery. Other players take turns playing cards as experiments and record observations while trying to infer the hidden law. Players may propose hypotheses and can declare a “prophet” who predicts future plays; rivals attempt to falsify the prophet by producing counterexamples and can supplant them by better prediction. Rounds continue until a player correctly states the rule or players agree to stop.
