First to Fight

This historical game covers the Polish forces’ involvement in World War II, from the 1939 invasion through the end of the war in May 1945. Players command troops across fronts in Eastern and Western Europe, Africa, and other regions, using them to undertake missions based on real battles, events, places, and historical figures. Soldiers are represented by neutral cards rather than owned units. Players move and train them around the board, then activate their specializations when missions occur in the appropriate region. Completing missions earns victory points, and the player with the most points at the end of the war wins. The game presents the scale of wartime operations without functioning as a traditional wargame.
