Hawaiki

Hawaiki is a board game for 2–6 players. It plays in 15 minutes and is meant for ages 7 and up. Ludoya players call it best with 6.

Players compete to be the first to empty their hand by playing cards onto three shared discard piles. Each turn, a player may play cards that form legal combinations matching the current top cards of the discard piles, manage hand size by drawing when necessary, and plan sequences to free up playable options. The game emphasizes hand management, pattern recognition, and timing as players create and extend combinations on the piles while reacting to opponents’ plays. Rounds end when a player discards all cards; scoring and repeated rounds determine the overall winner.
