Players each hold a hand of numbered cards and play 1–4 cards to place stones on a 36-space board whose squares are arranged in a non-obvious order. The objective is to claim four spaces in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, but squares can hold multiple stones and a square only becomes secure when one player has two more stones there than any other player. If no four-in-a-row appears within 20 turns, the player with the most points (stones on secure squares) wins.
