Lanterns: The Emperor's Gifts

The emperor orders pavilions to be built among the lanterns floating on the lake for the harvest festival. Players place landscape tiles and may build a pavilion on the tile, earning gifts from the emperor when making a matching color connection. Two emperor cards are revealed each game, each providing a special action. By spending two gifts, players can activate an emperor card to make an extra dedication, convert favor tokens into victory points, or perform another available action. The expansion adds new tactical options and variety to the tile-laying and set-collection gameplay.
