This 5th Edition campaign setting presents a dark alternate Earth in the 1890s, where railroads, firearms, electric power, and other inventions spread across the globe while magic remains a dangerous, forgotten secret. The Red Death corrupts humanity from the shadows through vampires, werewolves, doppelgangers, and other supernatural agents. The guide provides rules for creating Gothic Earth characters and campaigns, including five new classes, sixteen archetypes, firearms and explosives, expanded combat options, new feats, spells, and backgrounds. It also introduces rules for Fear, Horror, Dark Powers, and Resolve; details secret magical societies and 1890s London; and includes a custom character sheet and pre-generated characters.
